A Beginning with Journaling

I was reading the post from a fellow blogger this morning, and she was reviewing her Wellness goals and progress for the month.

One of her goals was journaling, and she approached it from the perspective of a prayer journal. Her goal is to write a prayer every night before going to bed.

Keeping a journal is something I’ve wanted to do, but just haven’t motivated myself enough to actually start doing it. At least, not since I was ten years old and kept a diary.

So when I read what Leslie said about journaling a prayer, I decided that this was what I wanted to do, and for me, it would be a morning journal entry, my Good Morning Prayer Journal. I like the sound of that.

I have a regular morning routine that I try to remain faithful to, so adding a few minutes to write down a simple prayer is a good thing to incorporate.

Bullet journaling is something I am curious about, and have done some research into what it entails and if that could become a part of my life.

For now, I will make my first entry tomorrow morning, in my Good Morning Prayer Journal. And, I want it to be a prayer of gratitude, not a bunch of ‘give me’s’.

I have so much to be grateful for, and sometimes get caught up in all the small things that don’t even matter.

It’s all about gratitude.
